Nutrition for Weight Management

Do you find you are re-establishing the same nutrition and fitness goals every year? Do you lack energy throughout the day? Learn the proper ways to fuel your body for cognitive and physical activities. Learn the basics of nutrition. Diets don't work. Learn how to lose weight in a healthy way so you are not depriving your body. This class is led by a Registered Dietitian.

Beginner Marathon

Always wanted to run a marathon but don't know how to start?   Perhaps all you need is the encouragement and support from liked-mined runners to get you started, and some professional coaching to set you on the  right path. The structure of the class will be a mixture of speed work, core strengthening exercises, discussions on race strategy, nutrition, equipment and injury prevention.
You should be able to run a minimum of 3-4 miles comfortably to take the class.

The Total Charles

This is no ordinary run, this 3 - mile run is lead by a personal trainer that will incorporate intervals including push-ups, abs, and resistance band work all along the beautiful Charles River. Join us for a workout that will be fun, challenging and refreshing.

Born from the Charleston dances of the roaring 20’s, the Lindy Hop is a dynamic connection-based partner dance involving athletic movement and fantastic swung Jazz music. This class will start from the basic rhythms, steps, and partner lead-follow dynamics and will build to more sophisticated patterns of both partner and solo movement. This dance is energetic, bouncy, challenging, and very rewarding.  No partner, dance experience, or rhythm is required!! Two left feet also accepted.

A licensed Massage Therapist reviews single and partner massage techniques to aid in tension relief, injury prevention, and relaxation. Instructor distributes informational handouts at each class for take home practice.

Capoeira Angola

This Brazilian dance/artistic format combines music and movement for a full body workout. Capoeira is a series of movements that are performed in a circle, referred to as a 'roda', where two people move rhythmically together.
