The Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation (DAPER) welcomes you. Here, social interaction, regular participation in fitness and recreation and the development of community through programs and services is encouraged through the recognition of the dynamic connection between mind and body. The DAPER Recreational Sports staff embrace the culture of MIT and revel in its uniqueness. DAPER Recreational Sports staff members take pride in ingenuity, and are distinguished by a progressive style of thinking and doing. Like the staff, programs and services are innovative. Diverse opportunities in fitness, aquatics, and recreation round out the athletic and physical education programs championed by DAPER. These opportunities encourage and provide activities for every level and interest within the MIT community.
