All members with an annual or 6-month membership may elect to participate in the DAPER Facilities Credit Card Payment Plan. The member must pay 20% of the total cost of the membership upon signing up for the plan, the remaining balance is divided and paid across the life of the membership on the 15th of each month.
Membership Categories
MIT Student
All MIT undergraduate/graduate students who have paid tuition and fees for the current semester
Wellesley Student
All Wellesley College undergraduate students who have paid tuition and fees for the current semester
MIT Faculty/Staff
A current MIT employee with verifying identification, including Draper, Whitehead, and Lincoln staff
MIT Alumnus
Any MIT graduate (identification verification required). An MIT Alumni Card can be obtained through the MIT Card Office.
MIT Affiliate
A member of the MIT Community who is not a regular employee, student, alumni or spouse/partner of an MIT community member. Examples include contractors, vendors, and next source employees.
Friends of MIT
Any adult, 18 years-of-age or older, who does not have current MIT affiliation through other membership categories, and is sponsored by an MIT community member.
Family Member
Any individual, who is a spouse/partner or child under 18 years of age, and part of the immediate family will be considered family members and eligible for access under the family membership. Dependent college students under the age of 23, with current college ID, also qualify. The parent/guardian must supervise minor family members in the same activity area. A spouse/partner of MIT employees or students must proceed to the MIT Card Office at E32-117 to obtain an MIT spouse card. A spouse/partner of all other categories must provide proof of residence (a valid driver's license with the same address or a lease/mortgage with both names).
Health Insurance Reimbursement
Members of the Traditional or Flexible MIT Health Plans may be eligible for a $150 fitness reimbursement for membership or exercise classes.
