At MIT Day Camp, we have multiple different indoor and outdoor spaces available to us. We are based out of 120 Vassar Street, also referred to as The Z-Center. Below, you will see all of the facilities we use and what activities are played there.

Camp Facilities
Johnson Ice Arena
- The Johnson Ice Arena turns into our Day Camp central location during the summer months. This is where children are brought for pick up/drop off. Campers also eat lunch at this location.
Zesiger Center 50 Meter Competition Pool
- Our Z Center pool is used for swim lessons daily! Each day we have 2 blocks of swim. In the morning campers attend “instructional swim” where based on their skill level, they learn or improve skills. In the afternoon, campers attend “free swim” where they get the opportunity to play pool games or swim around with friends.
Zesiger Center Teaching Pool
- Our Z Center pool is used for swim lessons daily! Each day we have 2 blocks of swim. In the morning campers attend “instructional swim” where based on their skill level, they learn or improve skills. In the afternoon, campers attend “free swim” where they get the opportunity to play pool games or swim around with friends.
MAC (Multi-Activity) Court
- The MAC is used for many different camp games. Capture the flag, floor hockey and dodgeball are a few camper favorites. Many tag games are played on this court as there is plenty of space to run around!
Rockwell Cage
- Rockwell is the home to MIT’s men’s and women’s basketball teams! Similarly, our day camp basketball stars love playing on these courts. Not only can we play basketball here, but speedball is a popular counselor’s choice activity!
duPont Gymnasium
- DuPont has many uses throughout the school year, but during our summer months we focus on badminton! You can find any of our campers with a smile on their face when they’re practicing their skills on DuPont Court!
Wrestling Room
- Since at MIT Summer Camp, we are not wrestling, our campers have nicknamed this our “Dodgeball Room.” You can hear laughs down the hallway when our campers are in this room.
Multi-Purpose Room
- Just as the name states, this is a room of many purposes. Our main use for this room is for dancing!
Johnson Indoor Track
- The indoor track is more than just for running! Its for playing dodgeball, soccer, kickball, whiffle ball, ultimate, capture the flag and MORE!
Roberts Field
- When the sun is shining, our staff loves being outdoors with the campers! With all of our outdoor space we are able to accommodate most games and activities. Our campers love to play tag games outside as there is plenty of space to run around!
